Pizzeria Badiali has carved out a fantastic reputation in Toronto, consistently hailed as one of the city's top spots for a slice. It's clear why people flock to this place – they've truly mastered the art of New York-style pizza with a distinct Toronto touch. What really stands out at Badiali is the dedication to quality ingredients. From the perfectly charred, chewy crust to the fresh, flavourful crushed tomato sauce and the generous, melty cheese, every element comes together in harmony. Whether you opt for a classic Margherita, a spicy pepperoni, or something a bit more adventurous like their Capicola and Pineapple, you're in for a treat. The "Vodka Pie" is particularly noteworthy, with many claiming it's one of the best cheese pizzas they've ever had. While some have mentioned potential wait times, it's a testament to their popularity, and many find the experience well worth it. In fact, for those who catch a slice when it's had a "second go-around in the oven," the extra crunch and char on the crust and cheese can be an absolute game-changer. Beyond the incredible taste, Pizzeria Badiali has that welcoming, easygoing vibe of a classic slice shop. It's a place where you can pop in for a quick, satisfying bite or settle in for a more leisurely pizza experience. If you're a pizza enthusiast in Toronto, or even just passing through, Pizzeria Badiali is an absolute must-try. You'll quickly understand why it earns such high praise and keeps people coming back for more.

I want to give my honest review about Pizza Badiali. I stayed in line for about 50 minutes just to try this pizzeria. Honestly, I think it’s a big hype — you can definitely find similar style pizza with much better quality in other places around Toronto. After the long wait outside, we got inside the store and had to wait in line again to order. The inside was extremely smoky and hard to breathe — it felt like the ventilation wasn’t working properly, which made it very uncomfortable to stand there. We ordered 4 slices (Vodka, Mushroom, Pepperoni, and one more I can’t remember), 2 drinks, and 2 dips — the total came to about $50. I found the cheese extremely chewy — to the point that my jaw was hurting by the time I got home. I’ve never had cheese this chewy on any pizza before. Taste-wise, I’d give it a 7.5/10. The spices and flavors were good, nothing extraordinary though — definitely not something I’d wait 50 minutes in line again for. Would I recommend trying it? Yes — if you can walk in without the long wait. Otherwise, I personally don’t think it’s worth standing in line for that long.

So much hype about this place and expected it to be mid but it was actually good. I didn’t expect a long line because we went for lunch on a Wednesday, thinking everyone would be at work. However, once you get inside, it’s not a long wait. We were also lucky to get a table but got “to-go” just in case there wasn’t any available. Pizza was good. The price is not bad for the quality. The hot honey sauce made it even better. Honestly I still kept thinking about it even when I got home. I just wish the burrata didn’t seem like it was just plopped on the pizza. I think it would be better if it was a little bit spread out. Other than that, it was great! Will go back to try the other types of pizza!

Happened to stop by on a Tuesday evening and there was absolutely no wait. Was lucky to get there at the perfect time and enjoyed the most awaited slices of Burrata and Vodka sauce pizzas. Would definitely recommend and come again! Pro Tips: If you’re getting more than 3 slices, I’d just recommend you buy the whole pie for the price. Also, grab a slice and walk over to the park next door, enjoy the peace.

We recently made the trip from Markham to try out the much-hyped Badiali Pizza at 181 Dovercourt Road in Toronto. It was a Thursday evening around 7 PM when we arrived, and to our surprise, there were already about 20 people lined up outside. The location itself is cozy and has that classic take-out charm, but parking is definitely a challenge in the area. We were excited to finally try it after hearing so much, and despite the line, we were served fairly quickly — within 15 minutes of arrival — which was impressive given how busy it was. We ordered four slices of Margherita and four slices of Mushroom Bianca, along with two garlic ranch dips and two pops. The slices were freshly baked, and there’s no doubt they take pride in their product. The Margherita had a nice classic flavor, and the Mushroom Bianca was earthy and creamy. The crust was crisp yet chewy, and you could tell the ingredients were of good quality. The place was bustling the whole time, which added to the lively vibe, and the staff handled the rush with great efficiency and friendliness. That said, while we did enjoy our food, we felt it didn’t quite live up to the massive hype surrounding it. The total bill came to $66, which felt a bit steep for a casual take-out experience — especially for 8 slices, 2 dips, and 2 soft drinks. It was a decent meal, and the service was great, but we’ve had better slices elsewhere. Would we go again? If we’re in the area, sure. But it’s probably not something we’d make a special trip for next time. Overall, a solid spot, but maybe not the game-changer we were expecting.
