3 months agoPizzeria Badiali has carved out a fantastic reputation in Toronto, consistently hailed as one of the city's top spots for a slice. It's clear why people flock to this place – they've truly mastered the art of New York-style pizza with a distinct Toronto touch. What really stands out at Badiali is the dedication to quality ingredients. From the perfectly charred, chewy crust to the fresh, flavourful crushed tomato sauce and the generous, melty cheese, every element comes together in harmony. Whether you opt for a classic Margherita, a spicy pepperoni, or something a bit more adventurous like their Capicola and Pineapple, you're in for a treat. The "Vodka Pie" is particularly noteworthy, with many claiming it's one of the best cheese pizzas they've ever had. While some have mentioned potential wait times, it's a testament to their popularity, and many find the experience well worth it. In fact, for those who catch a slice when it's had a "second go-around in the oven," the extra crunch and char on the crust and cheese can be an absolute game-changer. Beyond the incredible taste, Pizzeria Badiali has that welcoming, easygoing vibe of a classic slice shop. It's a place where you can pop in for a quick, satisfying bite or settle in for a more leisurely pizza experience. If you're a pizza enthusiast in Toronto, or even just passing through, Pizzeria Badiali is an absolute must-try. You'll quickly understand why it earns such high praise and keeps people coming back for more.

3 months agoI want to give my honest review about Pizza Badiali. I stayed in line for about 50 minutes just to try this pizzeria. Honestly, I think it’s a big hype — you can definitely find similar style pizza with much better quality in other places around Toronto. After the long wait outside, we got inside the store and had to wait in line again to order. The inside was extremely smoky and hard to breathe — it felt like the ventilation wasn’t working properly, which made it very uncomfortable to stand there. We ordered 4 slices (Vodka, Mushroom, Pepperoni, and one more I can’t remember), 2 drinks, and 2 dips — the total came to about $50. I found the cheese extremely chewy — to the point that my jaw was hurting by the time I got home. I’ve never had cheese this chewy on any pizza before. Taste-wise, I’d give it a 7.5/10. The spices and flavors were good, nothing extraordinary though — definitely not something I’d wait 50 minutes in line again for. Would I recommend trying it? Yes — if you can walk in without the long wait. Otherwise, I personally don’t think it’s worth standing in line for that long.

a month agoI waited an hr in line to spend $20 for 3 slices of pizza. Was it good? Yes. Was it worth it? I don't think so, but do I blame Toronto or do they just need another location? Hard to say. I really really liked the burrata. But the mushroom didn't do it for me in that it was all a very analogous taste. The vodka had a kick with the spice but needed texture. I'll probably be back but I would need to order 3 days in advanced to skip the lines.

3 weeks agoWe arrived late and were told we might not even get a slice, but we took the risk and waited in line. Luckily, we ended up getting four slices—exactly what we wanted. Just as we finished eating, it started to rain, but the staff kindly let us stay inside until the shower passed and even gave us a free slice while we waited. The pizza was incredible, and the whole experience was absolutely worth the wait!

a month agoSo much hype about this place and expected it to be mid but it was actually good. I didn’t expect a long line because we went for lunch on a Wednesday, thinking everyone would be at work. However, once you get inside, it’s not a long wait. We were also lucky to get a table but got “to-go” just in case there wasn’t any available. Pizza was good. The price is not bad for the quality. The hot honey sauce made it even better. Honestly I still kept thinking about it even when I got home. I just wish the burrata didn’t seem like it was just plopped on the pizza. I think it would be better if it was a little bit spread out. Other than that, it was great! Will go back to try the other types of pizza!
