5 years agoWe recently had our son get a psychological evaluation as he was having some challenges at school. His teachers had noticed some issues with his attention span and some behavioral challenges. We were told that he would have be placed on a 1 year+ waiting list at the places we contact first. That’s when we were referred to Toronto Neurofeedback and Psychotherapy Centre by a close family friend. Our son is our first child, and this was all new and unknown waters for us. When we contacted the office we were immediately put at ease. They were able to schedule our son’s first appointment within 3 weeks! As well they were more than accommodating with working with us for booking and spacing out our appointments accordingly to ensure we were able to claim as much as we could with our health insurance. The doctor we met with was just incredible. My son was put at ease the moment we arrived. The entire staff were not only professional, but warm and kind. It was just what this nervous mom needed. They talked me through the entire process and I never felt rushed or so embarrassed to ask more questions. In the end our son was properly assessed and diagnosed and our entire family life has changed for the better. I can’t thank Nicole and her team enough. They gave us a whole new level of quality family time and a closer connection and understanding of our son. We are forever grateful.

2 years agoHUGELY disappointed in this clinic, it seems all they care about is money and not in helping patients. I was in contact with them for weeks trying to set up a psychoeducational assessment for my child. Their assessment is close to $4000. Luckily, i have great insurance and was looking to use it to cover some costs as this is a lot to cover without it. We had everything booked and ready to go, just to be called day of assessment that the psychologist was not available and had to cancel. They offered no other solutions, instead of we will deal with this in the new year. No apologies for the inconvenience either. I am now back to searching for a good team who actually cares for their clients.

2 years agoI'm new to this psychotherapy world. It seems a lot of teens need help these days, my child is no different. Twice I have booked for a consultation to see if the therapist is a good fit for my child. But it happened TWICE, that no one called. It is disappointing because we are trying to get help. They don't seem to care that we have put time and effort in trying to look for help. Booking takes a week or two, then they just brush you off last minute. After forgetting to call on time, the first therapist just told the admin to tell us she is in a conference meeting. She did call back a few minutes later and spoke to my child saying she's not a good fit right away. The admin lady who contacted me after the mishap was very nice. She informed us that we have been matched with another potential therapist. And she made all the bookings. Everything was set. And then no call YET AGAIN. I think they will NOT forget to call if you choose to book straight away for a paid session. That's what I think this is all about. Money. Forget the 15 min free call, they won't call back. I feel money is a priority to see if you are a good fit for a therapist in this institution. Otherwise, they will ALWAYS forget you. Had I known that that's the case, then we would have paid straight away to see if someone is fit enough weeks ago to help my child. Weeks wasted, clients are not valued. I won't choose anyone from this institution anymore. Never again. I recommend neither should you. Don't waste your time.

2 years agoCame here with my wife last year to help us through some things, and we did not feel any better after 5 sessions. Thank God the sessions written off through my work benefits. Just didn't feel like the therapist really did anything to help us. Also, kinda felt that they were biased towards me when talking about issues
