**Review for Local Gym** I’m really disappointed with the customer service I received at this gym. I called today to freeze my membership due to a mistake with the date, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. Brian answered the call and, right from the start, he had an attitude that made it difficult to communicate. He kept cutting me off, which was frustrating, as I was just trying to explain my situation. What really stood out was that he never even asked for my phone number to look up my account or offer any real assistance. It felt like he didn’t care about helping me at all. To make matters worse, he hung up on me, which left me feeling completely unheard and disheartened. I really hope the management takes this feedback seriously because good customer service is essential in any business, especially in the fitness industry. I want to continue my membership, but I need to feel valued and supported as a customer.

Negligence, Health Risks & Zero Accountability — Extremely Disappointed. I was a member of LA Fitness at 1970 Eglinton Ave East, Toronto, and this is my honest review of how poorly I was treated. Back in January, after using their jacuzzi, I experienced a severe allergic reaction. My $800 swimsuit was completely ruined — the fabric was eaten away. I lost 5 days of work because I physically couldn’t go due to the reaction on my skin. Right after the incident, I ran to the front desk. The girl working there was kind and immediately shut down the pool and jacuzzi, hoping someone would follow up with me. Unfortunately, since it was a Sunday, no manager was available. Days later, I contacted Alisha, the location’s General Manager. She told me to call between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. — while I work full-time from 9 to 8 every weekday. Still, I took time off work to go in person and speak with her. She looked confused, promised a quick response, and then… nothing. No call. No email. I continued reaching out, and again, I was asked to come in and speak with “a team member.” Why? I had already explained everything. After countless follow-ups and waiting patiently, I received a cold, copy-paste response saying that no compensation would be offered. They claimed the chemicals were “within range.” But if that were true, I wouldn’t have had a visible allergic reaction. And my high-quality swimsuit wouldn’t have been destroyed. On top of that, even just walking in to talk to a manager is counted as a check-in, and they used that against me as “proof” of facility usage — how is that fair? I was left without answers, without support, without compensation — and without basic respect. This is not a free facility. I was a paying member. But to receive this level of carelessness, unprofessionalism, and cold treatment when your health is at risk? Unacceptable. I loved the classes. The Zumba instructors and yoga teachers were amazing and deserve recognition. But management? Completely unaccountable and dismissive. Maybe I was just unlucky with this location, but after this experience, I will never trust this company again. Your health and time matter. Unfortunately, at this gym — they don’t.

Been coming to this location for years and the morning crew and staff (Laurie, Tammy & Alex) have been very friendly which makes my workout enjoyable. I've visited many gyms throughout the years and this location by far is the best. If anything this location should be a Signature Club. Thank you for opening the doors always on time and always greeting everyone with a smile as soon as we scan our QR code.

Great gym with a clean and well-maintained environment. The equipment is modern and in excellent condition, and there’s plenty of variety for different workouts. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. The atmosphere is motivating, making it a great place for both beginners and experienced fitness enthusiasts. Highly recommend!
