LA Fitness Eglinton Ave East

I’m really disappointed with my recent experience at this LA Fitness location. Today, the instructor for one of the group classes locked up all the dumbbells in the exercise room, which used to be available for all members to use. These dumbbells have never been locked before, and suddenly today I was told that they are now only for people attending group classes. This makes no sense, especially during times when there are no group classes taking place. As a paying member, why am I not allowed to use equipment that should be accessible in shared areas like the exercise room? What’s more frustrating is that there are two full sets of dumbbells in that room. If the instructor is worried about reserving enough for the class, she could have just locked one set and left the other available for regular members. But instead, she locked both sets, leaving nothing for others. I find this extremely unfair. All members pay for access to the gym and its facilities. Why are group class attendees given priority over everyone else?

Brief: get membership recommended a friend true VIP program. At arrival the stuff asked him 20$ cash to get in, disregarded he get my membership number asvel ( proof for stuff i give him the VIP pass) . Next day i get in ask for manager they said will be in Monday if you want to speak with him, asked a costumer service phone number : they give me the number from reception ( from same location). Hygiene its bad will attach some picture .” Dint get bathroom and washroom there was people inside” Pool area been closed more then 10 day and still closed!

PERVERTS—This gym allows old men to record young people in the gym, I caught him recording me on the stairmaster and he tried to pretend that he was recording the rest of the gym. I confronted him with one of the employees Ankush, and the employee didn’t even help me just stood silent while I confronted the man. Also Joseph the manager didn’t confront the pervert and didn’t report it. I’m going back today to report this to the operational manager Alicia because Ankush and Joseph failed to do so. IF YOU ARE UNDER 18Years old WATCH OUT FOR THESE CREEPY OLD MEN HERE !!!!!!!

I usually come here on weekdays, Erik and all the staff are always friendly and welcoming. They make a real effort to connect with everyone and create a comfortable environment. The gym itself is clean and well-maintained, with all the standard machines and weights you’d expect. It’s a great place to get a workout in. I hope it will maintain same for long

I joined LA Fitness Danforth in March and was charged twice for April, plus a CAD 77 sanitation/housekeeping fee. The Danforth manager admitted the CAD 77 should be refunded but refused to give her name and unfairly accused me of shouting/yelling - which I wasn't. My adult son was present during the call and can confirm I was calm. I've followed up many times while attending the Scarborough branch (which I now prefer). Huge thanks to Alicia at Scarborough for her patience, but I'm still waiting for my refund. I am writing this review not to complain, but in the hopes that someone from LA Fitness management will finally look into this and help resolve it. I just want to be refunded the CAD 77.00 that was promised. Hoping this review prompts action.
