3 months agoI recently had my first experience at a Japanese restaurant and chose Katsuya—and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the Chicken Terri Mayo Katsu and the Red Carbonara Udon, and both dishes were absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, well-balanced, and left me wanting more. The restaurant itself has a beautiful ambiance—thoughtfully decorated with a cozy, modern vibe. The Japanese music playing in the background really added to the overall atmosphere and made the experience feel authentic. The service was excellent as well. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable; she took the time to explain the dishes in detail and made sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. For my first time dining at a Japanese restaurant, Katsuya truly set the bar high. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy great Japanese cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment.

3 months agoExcellent western style katsu. Only critique would be that their carbonara udon is NOT carbonara flavoured. Is more like a cream of broccoli flavour with a hint of spice. It was yummy, but not what I was expecting to order. Overall, would recommend and will be returning again sometime in the future.

2 weeks agoKatsuya is such a great restaurant to go to if you're craving Japanese Katsu. They have so many variety of cuts and sauces you can choose from. I love going there because the portions are actually decent sized and their fried chicken with sweet sauce is TO DIE FOR. I don't know what they do to that chicken but it is so crispy and delicious! The one complaint I have is their metal cups and the water they put in them, it always tastes awful and tastes metallic. That would be the only thing I'd change lol.

3 months agoFollow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts! A beautiful honeycomb display for some wonderful Katsu! The Honeycomb Katsu combines the light, crispy batter with a tangy sauce, and the garlic chili has a subtle but addicting flavour. Topped with crispy garlic that's perfect for a garlic lover like me.

4 months agoAbsolutely delicious food! But their servers don’t speak English well, hard to communicate on the phone, hard to communicate in person when ordering food. The location has so much potentials but even just very basic things like the cleanliness is very poor, many things including menu were sticky. I ordered the one with sweet potatoes and cheese, it was soooo good!
