3 weeks agoI’ve been coming to this gym branch for over seven months now, and overall, I’m very satisfied with the experience. The gym is well-managed, clean, and well-organized, with a good variety of equipment and services. When I first joined, I had a few sessions with a personal trainer named Berto, who was extremely professional and helpful. I believe he no longer works at this location, but those sessions were a great introduction to the gym. The reception staff are generally friendly and welcoming, most of the time greeting members with a smile, which adds a nice touch. One thing I truly appreciate is the consistent cleanliness, there are staff regularly tidying up, and both floors have clean, well-maintained washrooms. The gym can get quite crowded, especially during peak hours like around 6 PM, but there are plenty of machines and different workout areas, so it’s usually possible to find an alternative space or equipment. I recommend coming at off-peak times if you want more flexibility and a quieter workout environment. They also offer a variety of classes, such as yoga and others, which is a fun way to mix up your routine beyond just lifting weights. Another great feature is the sauna, steam room, and showers, perfect for relaxing and freshening up after a workout. Overall, it’s a solid gym with a lot to offer.

4 months agoNot too busy on a Sunday. Nice gym on Richmond & John across from Barry’s bootcamp. Was able to get a good gym/workout session without waiting too long for any machines. 7min walk from osgoode station.

in the last weekI started with my personal trainer Marcella just 1 month ago and I couldn’t be more grateful for my progress. I didn't know I could see physical changes in such a small period of time. I definitely feel stronger with more energy, and my mindset has shifted. Know I’m now I’m capable of challenging myself and I only wish I started before. I now understand those people who feel great after hitting their gym routine I hadn’t been to the gym in 5 years and wasn’t really eating healthy (I’ve always had a sweet tooth). I have an ACL surgery, I have gained more than 20 lbs in 2 years and my knee was hurting everyday. I really felt frustrated with my weight, with the pain, with not being able to feel better. After a surgery, it’s hard to regain your strength and confidence to go back to exercise. I was so scared of the machines at the gym because I wasn’t sure how to use them and was afraid to hurt my knee. Marcella has been amazing!! I love the great energy, the preparation for every class, the way she motivates me but challenges and makes me believe in myself. She has knowledge in surgery rehab so that’s what made more inclined to start the training and it has been the best decision. For someone struggling with acquiring healthy habits and becoming your best version mentally and physically I definitely recommend her!

2 weeks agoI have been going to this good life Location at John and Richmond for a few years now while working downtown Toronto. It stands up as one of the best clubs. Clean, friendly staff, and a overall good facility with large change rooms, steam room, sauna exc. Working with Mary as my personal trainer has been great. We have made sound progress in my strength and health as she has helped me train to a fast road in my recovery from major illness. While also getting into shape has been nice, would recommend this gym

10 months agoBeautiful gym space. It also wasn’t very busy, mind you I went on a Saturday. Well equipped and neatly organized weights. As a dedicated weightlifter, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the weightlifting facilities. The gym is well-equipped with a wide variety of free weights and resistance machines, allowing for a comprehensive workout routine. One of the things that immediately impressed me was the organization of the weightlifting area. The weights were neatly arranged, making it easy to find the specific equipment I needed. Additionally, the lighting was excellent, providing clear visibility for proper form and technique. Although I didn't participate in any classes, I observed that the gym offered a diverse range of group fitness activities. This is a great option for those who prefer a more social and interactive workout experience. Overall, I was very satisfied with my first visit to this GoodLife Fitness location. The gym's weightlifting facilities are top-notch, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you're a weightlifter looking for a clean and well-equipped gym, I highly recommend giving this location a try.
