10 months agoThis is my main gym and I love this club!! For any habit to be ‘settled’ enough, the most important thing is to show up. This one makes me show up. Nice ambient lighting, darker but cozy, and consistent interior design theme, eucalyptus scented towels and steam room just makes me feel like I’m in a spa. Staff are wonderful as well. Classes are decent, with teachers dedicated to their classes. The only concern I have is that the group weight room is rather small and is often cramped. Why not expanding it into some of the free weight space because you already have much space downstairs as well which people don’t seem to know.

4 months agoI've had a very positive experience with this location since the first day I stepped in. I had a great tour with Courtney who was very patient with my numerous questions being asked. She was never once pushy or felt obligated like I needed to get a membership with her. The gym itself is great. At the moment I exclusively only do classes due to time restraints with work. I think the class times are very reasonable and the instructors across the board are absolutely fantastic.

5 months agoBEWARE of this gym. I was given a tour of this gym by Brandon Windsor and he was extremely pushy trying to get me to buy a membership. He was asking me a bunch of personal questions, kept pushing me to sign up immediately, giving me a same-day deadline, and asking way too many personal questions that had nothing to do with fitness. It made me really uncomfortable and I honestly, couldn’t wait to leave. Signing up for a gym membership and getting a tour should be a positive experience. They should also give you some time to think about your decision. Not some sales person trying to pressure you into getting the membership by giving you a deadline on the same day and asking you 20 personal questions. It seemed very intrusive. I would stay away from buying a membership from this gym as their membership policy is incredibly restrictive. You’re locked in for a year, forced to pay $250+ per month upfront, and the only way to cancel is if you move 50+ km away—which, of course, they don’t mention until later. If you’re looking for a gym that values its members instead of just their money, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are plenty of better options that won’t try to pressure you into an overpriced, non-refundable contract.

a year agoI wish you could give 4.5 stars! This is definitely one of the best gyms I’ve ever been to. It is very clean with lounge areas in lobby, gym, and change room. Tons of equipment and delicious IQ smoothie bar. Only complaint is the Woodways bounced a little as they aren’t tended to enough but I think I’ll survive. Most people may not even notice if not a seasoned runner. The tvs don’t work on many machines - why have them then? Either way, I’m very impressed. :)

10 months agoEquinox is a club with solid equipment and amenities. The multi floor gym allows a good flow of traffic and ability to get on a machine without waiting. The front desk staff is very friendly and are happy to answer any questions you have. The change rooms are sleek where the shower holds great smelling shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Overall the club is worth the monthly/annual fee in exchange for luxury and less traffic.
