Eglinton Station Medical Centre

i visited this walk in clinic yesterday. i thought the woman at the front desk was friendly. i had signed up to become a patient of the clinic and was scheduled for a meet and greet with a doctor but this was cancelled and no alternative was provided. i saw a doctor iwan yang , the cpso says she graduated in 1993 from medical school, perhaps at that time it was not customary for medical students to learn that patient care requires a bedside manner and that doctors cannot be aggressive and entitled and unhelpful, all of which she was. the clinic was extremely hot and it made the care unsanitary and uncomfortable. the doctor did not research my condition and she did not know about it, she said she wouldn’t refer me to a specialist, and she did not have or wouldn’t access a working electronic medical record to find my labwork and history. i provided her with all of this information and was patient despite my growing frustration with her negligent care. she provided a prescription and then accused me of being too rude to continue helping even though firstly i was not rude and secondly i was clearly sick and needing medical care, i relayed to her that her feelings were not more important than my needs and that women don’t have to be sugar and spice and everything nice in order to deserve human dignity in the healthcare setting, although i was reasonable and most people regard me as a lovely person who is a good communicator and puts others at ease. i unfortunately forgot my prescription on the way to the pharmacy thinking it was in my purse so i called the clinic and asked them to fax it to the pharmacy which is an automatic process on most modern electronic medical records, you just retrieve the document from the patient chart and send it, it is not difficult. the receptionist told me she had no access to this even though it was electronically generated and had been signed this way. i asked her to ask the doctor working to help and i cried from the stress, since i am at my breaking point and i have an untreated health condition that it impacting my life and causes infertility, but she did not help. doctor yang also refused to help me with my anxiety and my adhd. she claimed that she was not allowed and wasn’t willing to even listen to me.

Dr. Lui has been my family doctor for over six years, and I truly trust her with my life. She is everything you’d want in a physician - caring, empathetic, knowledgeable and genuinely lovely. Over the years, she has supported me through many life changes and helped me navigate a wide range of health concerns with compassion and professionalism. The entire office staff is also fantastic, always friendly, welcoming and helpful. Yes, there have been times when I’ve had to wait longer for an appointment, especially for walk-ins, but that’s to be expected in a busy and accessible location. I’ve experienced similar wait times at other clinics, so it’s not out of the ordinary. All in all, I feel incredibly fortunate to have Dr. Lui as my doctor. She goes above and beyond and I always leave her office feeling heard and well cared for.

It took me a week to get my appointment with Dr Yang due to her availability. It was fine with me as I have this chronic condition that is concerning and deserves a check up but not immediately life-threatening. I have also told the receptionist my condition when I booked the appointment. I walked out not being treated or even looked at because my case was "non-emergency” and would take more than 10 minutes to understand the history. The doctor was not being helpful and simply didn't care. Nothing done during my visit but still costed the taxpayer's money. I had my first visit with Dr Yang two years ago she was much more helpful back then. I don't know how and why it has changed.

Dr. Constantine at this clinic is one of the nicest doctors I have met in Toronto! She was very warm, friendly and gave me time to understand my problem in depth. Ive been suffering from gynaecological issues and no other doctor was able to help me as much as she did. She spent time in examining me, answering my questions and honestly, after 1.5 month of suffering, i feel some relief with her prescribed medicine. Waiting to hear back on my results from her.

Should have listened to the other negative reviews about Dr. Malouh. Total lack of concern and empathy. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Would give 0 stars if I could.
