Not a member due to health reasons but live very close to this gym. These guys took what was a forgotten building and turned it into a pretty cool gym\ community space. Love the vibe they give, including their members and love seeing them having their BBQ every now and then. Maybe will stop by one day :) Good luck and good job

Fantastic neighborhood gym with great staff and very friendly atmosphere. If you’re in the midtown Toronto area, please go take a peek, you will not be disappointed! Clean, well ventilated, and well equipped workout space is what I’d describe the gym as. The gym itself is a huge space for materializing your preferred workouts, any time if the day. The fact that this space is accesible 24/7x, there’s really no excuse to not be here. A must have membership for beginners if you’re getting into personal training lessons for your basic skill level. A perfect spot for an advanced lifter. Everyone is welcome. -Shaggy C.

Back Alley Barbell is a great little nook to book a sweat. Primarily focused on weight lifting, free weights, and mobility. They've got a decent size turf in the middle of the gym to sled pull. The owners are wonderful and considerate and I see myself coming often to lay some good foundations for strength training.

Back Alley Barbell is a really great indie gym for weightlifting or powerlifting athletes, or for connecting with a personal trainer to get stronger. Has all the equipment you need: kilo plates and barbells, four weightlifting platforms, jerk blocks, squat stands, a combo rack, air bike, rower, sled… it’s all there. The community feel and easy fob access make it fun and convenient. Friendly regulars and staff make it a joy to hang out here. Come along to the barbecues in the summer and make some friends!
