Follow @bredgyeats on IG for more food posts! Aloette is a place where your taste buds go to die and then are reborn. First, some complimentary pillow-soft cheese bread that warms up your soul, amazingly aromatic paired with the whipped butter. Thankfully our adventure just started. The beef tartare was a great balance of flavours, umami, sour, slight richness and fresh green pepper. The mustard seeds gave it that much-needed crunch. I had to turn the one biter into two to really enjoy it. The crispy squash is the highlight, a delicate crispy layer and a gooey interior paired with a rich hollandaise sauce and sweet pumpkins makes this extremely addicting. I almost ordered another. The burger and fries was like a quintessential, classic burger elevated. Juicy patty, fragrant brioche bun and beaufort cheese with a slight funk makes it a unctuous bite. To go out with a bang, torched meringue is wonderfully topped onto a silky smooth lemon pie. Just a perfect balance between tangy and sweet, so that you don't walk home feeling congested. The crust adds an essential crunch and overall texture to the pie, making you jump for joy for each bite.

Ok, you've already read all the great reviews on the food and service of this place so I don't need to go over that. What I do want to mention is how AWESOME their music is that they play! When I heard hiphop songs that I would absolutely never hear out at a restaurants, my whole dining experience changed. It's great that they play all kinds of music especially the hiphop songs. I fully support the music choice and wanted the management to know! Amazing dining experience all around.

I’ve been here twice now, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been outstanding! I particularly loved the complimentary cheese bread, and standout dishes included the mussels, iceberg wedge salad, Brussels sprouts, and the Painted Water cocktail. The entire menu is consistently excellent, and the service is top-notch as well. Highly recommend this spot! (The photos below are from 2 separate visits)

Aloette is a lovely spot! We stopped in for brunch, trying the eggs Benedict, brunch burger and splitting the potato tots. The eggs Benedict was fantastic, especially the hollandaise sauce and the croissant/pastry it’s on. The tots were expertly prepared and the burger had a lovely spice blend. The true showstopper is the enormous slice of lemon meringue pie we tried after. Also - the Aloette Spritz was a lovely beverage. Note: no espresso machine :( or oat milk :(

Having been here a few times now, I’d say the food is mostly average but the train car aesthetic is really cool. The Lemon Meringue Pie tasted a bit too tart in my opinion, and the other brunch dishes seemed just normal. I think the dinner options here are better.
